Literature Text

It is bad to be fat, too skinny, average, curvy.
Blonde = Stupid, Black = Emotional, Brunette = Boring, Red = Soulless, Colorful = Too Creative
It is bad to be gay, trans, heterosexual, lesbian, asexual, pansexual, demisexual, bisexual, etc.
It is bad to be Christian, atheist, Catholic, Agnostic, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Polytheistic, Monotheistic, etc.
It's bad to be a different race:
Black = Dirty or Nigger, White = Racist or Cracker, Hispanic/Latino/Latina = Illegal, Asian = Alien
It is bad to be a woman, man, or genderless.
It is bad to be homeless, middle class, rich.

There is a judgement for every single person
Whether you believe prejudice people do not exist, or do exist.
Whether you believe you are not good enough, or too good for anybody.
Whether you believe humans are created equal, or not.
Whether you believe in anything, or nothing at all.
Whether you believe in pronouns, or no pronouns.
Whether you associate yourself in a certain group, or you stand by yourself.

We all have insecurities, yet we are truly all beautiful.
We are all equal in every way. All of our opinions matter.
Whether we choose to bash, or to support.

Wake up.
It is time to end this.

Wow I did not expect to get so many favorites! Thank you everyone for the support <3
But for the ones who do not understand this poem, maybe you need to read my description, because obviously, this is not meant to hurt anyone. This poem was meant to be short and simple, and there are just some people who do not even recognize what I am trying to say. Nice comments? Thank you, Bad comments? Okay, that is okay too, but I will not put up with ignorance, as I will cut the conversation short. Anyone else who decides to include themselves into an argument is up to them, I will not disable these comments, as I like to see everyone's opinion, but this is just a warning.

I had a discussion with ColumnBoy and AskZeroSuitSamus
about this topic and well... it was a really good conversation.
Nobody should have their life taken away because they are a part of the above things that are listed.
Nobody should have their priorities taken away because they are their own person.
Nobody deserves any of this kind of treatment.
There are stereotypes everywhere, all around the media, the world.
This should not be.

I am sorry that I could not get everything in the poem,
I tried to include everything that I was mainly seeing lately.
There are a lot more things out there, but this is just the main thing that goes on in the world today.

If you are somebody who has been judged for any of the following things in the poem,
I am here to let you know, that you are a beautiful person, and you do not deserve any of that treatment.
People are insecure everywhere they go, and I will say that I am insecure myself.
It is human, it is natural to be insecure, but when a person judges someone else based on anything that
has been written in this poem or has not, that is when they have crossed the line.
All of us wear different shoes, nobody should judge anybody if they had not been in another person's shoes before.
Yes, judging is only a human thing, and a lot of us are guilty of judging, but I would like to take some time
and appreciate how different everyone is on the outside, but when it all comes down to it, we all are the same on the inside.
No not personality wise, but we all have a skeleton in our bodies.
People need to seriously wake up.

I am sorry if anybody disagrees with me, I understand.

I don't usually post, but I guess I'll just drop in and say that this is human nature. People are prejudiced, and it will be a long time before prejudice is eradicated. The thing to take from this, though, is that we need to break from the misconceptions implanted in our brain by a lifetime of soaking in views expressed by the media and people in general, and see things without the human lens. You can't divide billions of people into groups and classes, and then generalize the individuals in each. It may be easier than actually knowing a person, but that doesn't justify it. Not everyone is presented the same opportunities, but everyone has the same potential, and that is important to remember.
